Lions and tigers and bears …. Oh my !!

Lions and tigers and bears …. Oh my !!   Ok, well not quite those animals that were present on our holidays, but there were plenty of others!   Zebras, giraffes, water buffalos, many, many, many monkeys and baboons (last seen trying to get into our rooms pulling all the door handles, we were warned!)   Warthogs, all different types of gazelle,s hippos and crocodiles.   Lake Mburo national park was a once in a lifetime experience - the amount of animals living happily side by side was unreal.   They introduced a breeding programme in 2015 which saw 10 giraffes brought in and there are now well over 100. We were lucky enough to see a 2-month-old baby giraffe, as well as many other young animals. There has been a lot going on in my life and in the racing world but we’ll cover Cheltenham for now. Drama a plenty with the news we have seen Constitution Hill for the last time over an obstacle. Selfishly I hoped this would be the case. I was very worried about him falling again on the biggest stage of them all, and what that looks like to the general public and in racing itself. There were a few shots fired my way via socials about my view of a) thinking he wouldn’t run and b) not wanting him to It was never our decision of course but there is nothing wrong with some healthy debate and respectful arguments, something many on X don’t seem to be very good at. The connections were always going to make the best decision for the horse. I had the pleasure of interviewing Michael Buckley (his owne...
